Finding the hall
Bryn Community Hall sits on Maesteg Road in Bryn, on the road between Maesteg and Port Talbot. On Google Maps it is listed under its council name, “Bryn Community Centre” - searching the postcode SA13 2RY alongside it puts the pin on the right building. Parking is free at and around the hall.
Arriving for your first session
Come about ten minutes early. That gives you time to find us, meet whoever is teaching that night and get a quick word about what to expect before the class bows in. Beginners and juniors are on the mat at 6pm; adults and senior grades at 7pm. Wear loose clothing, bring water, and leave the karate suit until you have decided to carry on - see what happens at a first session for the full rundown.
Two classes on the same night
Because the junior and adult classes run back to back, a family can cover both in one trip - a common arrangement for members driving in from Maesteg, Caerau or the Garw Valley. It also means anyone who misses a Monday can pick the same material up on the Wednesday, which matters when shift work or school runs make one fixed night hard to protect.
